Bloat[]
'Bloats are floating balloons of skin that produce easy-to-ignite gas.'
The Bloat is a pink flying creature that tries to bash into the player to deal damage. Leaving behind flammable gas as it travels, defeating it leaves behind more gas and has a chance to drop a bloat gland.
Strangely enough, all bloats are immune to fire.
Bloat glands can be mixed with incineration potions to make explosion potions.
Poison Bloat[]
'Poisonous bloats kill their victims by blowing poison in their faces.'
Poison Bloats are mostly the same as normal bloats but leave behind poison gas instead as well as poisoning on hit.
Grim Bloat[]
'A grim bloat's bite drains its victims.'
- Grim Bloats are mostly the same as normal bloats but leave puff smoke and release smoke on death.
- Smoke can blind you.
- Inflict Drained (-3 strength) debuff if you get hit.
- Keeps distance from pointy weapons.
Blue (Myst) Bloat[]
'Blue bloats produce Myst in an attempt to dissuade would-be attackers.'
Myst Bloats are mostly the same as normal bloats but leave behind myst instead. On death they release 3 magic missiles that will multiply into more inside the myst.
Blue bloats are not immune to magic missiles so killing one will often kill any others in the room.
Explosive Bloat[]
'These bloats are acting like suicide bombers. Once they float close to you, they'll blow up.'
The Explosive Bloat is the most unique type and dangerous type of bloat. You can recognize them because of their red color. It does not leave behind gas when moving and instead of attacking the player by bashing into them, this bloat explodes instead. Leaving behind burning gas and dealing damage to everything around it.
